First Annual PhD student conference 30 May 2019
On 30 May 2019 the Porter School of the Environment and Earth Sciences had its first annual PhD student conference where students in our school presented their research to an audience of faculty, students, and visitors. Students (Israeli and international) presented both oral presentation and posters in English, with the winning poster (from student Itay Rochlin) getting a cash prize. There were around 25 presentations this year, and next year we expect to double that number. The conference was the first conference to cover all three Departments in the School (Geography, Geophysics and Environmental Studies). We thank all those who attended the conference and look forward to seeing additional students next year.
