Abstract:
The implications of fermionic asymmetric dark matter (ADM) for a "mixed neutron star" composed of ordinary baryons and dark fermions will be addressed. The maximum mass of such objects is substantially higher than that of ordinary ("pure") neutron stars while the radius (as probed by massless and massive ordinary particles) is about the same.
I will comment briefly on astrophysical implications regarding the phenomenology of accreting neutron stars, as well as on possible formation scenarios.
