Diffusion in social networks

Diffusion of new products in social networks is a key problem in Marketing. This problem falls under the category of spreading on a graph, but it has unique characteristics that distinguishes it from e.g., spreading of diseases. In this talk, I will discuss how the diffusion is affected by the network structure, by temporal effects, and by consumers’ heterogeneity.
