Abstract:

We study the low energy dynamics of BPS vortex-strings in 4d N=2 theories. In addition to classical analysis, we use localization techniques to study the string's dynamics. We find a criterion that guarantees that the string decouples from the bulk at low energies, and find the string worldsheet theory in many new examples.
